We are looking for a Design Engineer for Electrical Connectors and Wire Harnesses to join our team. <Responsibilities>

• Create and develop electrical connector designs that meet specification requirements.
• Create and develop detailed wiring harness designs, including schematics and layout diagrams using CAD software (e.g., ZUKEN, Creo).
• Develop and maintain specifications and design standards for wiring harness design, including materials, connectors, terminals, and protective sleeves.
• Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations, such as UL, IEC, and RoHS, while maintaining adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
• Directs suppliers to source appropriate materials and components for wiring assemblies.
• Leads design reviews and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
• Analyze test data, identify potential risks and recommend design improvements to the development team.
• Work closely, remotely or on site via business trips, with an international engineering and manufacturing team to ensure seamless realization of wiring harnesses
• Participate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO, IPC, etc.

<Qualifications>

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in designing electrical connectors, wiring harnesses and related components.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering principles and connector technology.
• Experience in connector design for signal and power wire-to-wire and wire-to-board applications.
• Proven successful project completion and product design from concept to production in previous employment.
• Analytical thinking, trouble shooting and problem-solving methodology
• Ability to work in cross-functional team environment
• Willingness to travel to Philippines/Japan
• Proficiency in CAD software (ZUKEN, Creo, etc.)
• Advanced written and oral communication skills in English

Resposibilities:

1. Responsible for the production team’s performance and is accountable for maintainingthe applicable standards of the plant
2. Responsible to ensure the quality of work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization
3. Responsible for the productivity improvement projects
4. Responsible to maximize the level of output of the manufacturing department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment
5. Responsible for the health and safety of directly reporting employees
6. Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended output

Qualifications:

1. Candidate must posses a professional license in Engineering or equivalent
2. At least 10 years of experience in a related field
3. Able to provide strategic direction in implementing production related programs and lead  the manufacturing team to achieve targets
4. Preferrably Assistant Manager / Manager specialized in Manufacturing Operations or equivalent

Resposibilities:

Main aim of job

Under the direct supervision of the QA Assistant Manager, the Assembly QA Engineer shall ensure that customer and related interested parties satisfaction is achieved. All specified internal and external requirements and targets must be met, and if necessary, improvements shall take place. He/She is also responsible for the strategic leadership of the quality control system of the manufacturing plant.

> Specific duties and responsibilities  (maximum 10)

1. 1. Responsible to ensure utmost customer satisfaction within the area of quality and services.
   2. Establishes quality plan, quality control standards and directs the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that sufficient controls are in place to meet customer, system, regulatory and internal requirements.
   3. Responsible in establishing / translating drawing checksheets
   4. Ensures that quality, safety and health systems are implemented, maintained and continuously being improved.
   5. Reports periodically to the management and team, the performance of the quality system related in assigned task.
   6. Has the authority to discontinue production to correct quality problems.
   7. Sits in discussion involving engineering or quality problems and provides technical inputs in order to provide long term solutions to such.
   8. Identify system issues within the manufacturing areas and take appropriate actions to address it.
   9. Active participation in customer incidents through timely root cause analysis and corrective actions and ensure its implementation.
   10. Initiates improvement activities both in manufacturing and transactional areas.
   11. Supervises and monitors QA Technician in order to ensure the evaluation and analysis result related to Quality issues are performed.
   12. Develop skill matrix and identify required coaching program for all QA technician to increase skill and efficiency.
   13. Provides quality related trainings.
   14. Provides all support needed by manufacturing, management and other services group related to quality matters.
   15. Other duties and responsibilities:

a. Internal Quality Auditor
b. 8D Coordinator

1. Performs other duties as maybe assigned by the QA Assistant Manager or QA Department Manager after due training/ qualification.

In case of absence:
The QA Assistant Manager will take over the responsibility in decision-making.

Qualifications:

> Formal education / course of study

Graduate of any Engineering course

with professional license is a plus

> Professional experience (years, function)

3-5 Years experience in Quality Assurance Supervisory or specialist position

> Specialized knowledge and skills

With strong problem solving and analytical skills. Above average decision making ability.  Fair, objective and good public relations skills required. Good analytical ability required. Quick correlation of cause and effect and improvisation of corrective measures meet unexpected developments needed. Good snap judgment and decisiveness a must.
