    Purchasing Specialist

    Background

    We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our purchasing team in HK to support the execution of purchasing guidelines, strategies, and procedures for compliance purposes. This includes establishing a competitive and stable supply chain for the cable harness product portfolio, as well as managing related commodities and suppliers for the Group.

     

    Main Responsibilities:-

    1. Identify and source new suppliers for responsible Cable harness related commodities within the Region.
    2. Manage RFx, negotiate the best purchasing terms, and work closely with the team including but not limited to Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and Material Planner to make sourcing decisions.
    3. Coordinate and conduct responsible supplier life-cycle management including supplier audit and release, supplier evaluation and risk management with cross functional representatives.
    4. Lead contract negotiation process, coordinate other cross functional representatives to complete contract terms conclusion.
    5. Follow up cost revision, analyze change reason and market trend, provide reasonable solution for cost saving and optimization, follow up the progress to meet target.
    6. Coordinate any concerns related to procurement including cost, quality, delivery and so on.
    7. Introduction of improvement measures for monitoring suppliers’ continuous development to gain win-win situation, especially support cost optimization and negotiations activities for continuous cost improvement.
    8. Support new product development, involve supplier in an early stage in bring technologies proposal to supply chain management and R&D for product technical concept.
    9. Perform other tasks assigned by leader.

     

    Requirements:-

    1. Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, operations management, engineering or related field.
    2. At least 3 years’ work experience in the Cable Harness manufacturing industry.
    3. Familiar with major manufacturers of cable, terminal and housing etc. , understand the market rule and distribution channels in different regions.
    4. Good experience of commodity market with basic technical knowledge incl. specifications, categories and families, competitors or alternatives, application etc.
    5. Familiar with SAP system is an advantage
    6. Good command of speaking and written English and Chinese; incl. Mandarin
    7. Specialized in market research, sourcing, analysis and reporting.
    8. Strong in communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
    9. High competency level in MS Office applications.

    In addition, the role contributes to the consistency and professionalism of ZAMA’s company image by managing brand related activities and materials, as well as online content.

     

    The Brand & Market Intelligence Specialist is expected to work with accuracy, openness, and sustainability in mind, providing clear recommendations, maintaining organized databases and tools, and supporting a neat and consistent presentation of ZAMA both internally and externally.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    1. Build, maintain, and update market intelligence profiles and databases using RASI (Research, Analysis, Summary, and Insights).
    2. Conduct market research on competitors, customers, product segments, and relevant economic developments affecting ZAMA.
    3. Analyze market trends and translate findings into specific, actionable recommendations.
    4. Develop and maintain tools and databases for customer interaction tracking and analysis.
    5. Review and summarize customer interaction data to identify patterns, opportunities, and business implications.
    6. Support maintenance and customization of sales materials, company profiles, and related marketing documents.
    7. Research expos and conferences, maintaining a database of relevant events and recommendations on attendance, participation type, and delegate profiles.

    Requirements

    3. Min. 5 years relevant experience in brand, marketing, or communications, preferably within industrial technical or manufacturing sectors.
