    Control Development Engineer

    <Job Summary>

    As a Control Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and validating control systems for fuel management systems and electric motor products. You will collaborate closely with customers and application engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions. You will take technical ownership of control functions, guide design decisions, and support the team from concept to production.

     

    <Key Responsibilities>

    • Lead the design and development of control algorithms for gasoline fuel injection systems and electric motor drives.
    • Define control concepts, system requirements, and control architecture.
    • Take technical ownership of control functions from concept through production.
    • Plan and lead calibration, tuning, and optimization activities.
    • Lead MIL, SIL, and HIL testing and support system integration on ECUs and equipment.
    • Analyze test data and drive performance, efficiency, and robustness improvements.
    • Support root cause analysis and technical problem solving.
    • Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.
    • Execute tasks in alignment with established engineering processes.
    • Implement departmental and management decisions and objectives.
    • Report on project progress and maintain schedules.

    <Key Competencies / Skills>

    • Strong expertise in control theory and practical control system design
    • Extensive experience with MATLAB / Simulink / Simscape is a must
    • Strong experience with dSPACE tools
    • Advanced experience with model‑based development
    • Strong programming skills in C / C++, Python for data analysis, and others
    • Proven experience with MIL / SIL / HIL testing and validation
    • Strong knowledge of CAN / CAN FD, LIN, and XCP communication
    • Ability to analyze complex data sets and drive design decisions
    • Good to have knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel supply systems and electric motor control
    • Effective communicator, able to collaborate across departments, external partners, and customers.
    • Strong self-management and organizational skills.

     

    <Qualifications and Experience>

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in control system development.
    • Experience leading control development activities and projects.
    • Comfortable working hands‑on with hardware, test benches, and prototype equipment.
    • Ability to work independently and communicate complex findings clearly.
    • Experience collaborating with international teams and operating on a global scale.
    • Self-motivated learner, open to exploring new domains.
    • Strong ideation skills, with the ability to distil concepts into clear product or service propositions.
    • Willingness to travel internationally for business meetings and project collaboration.
    • Proficient in algorithmic, analytical, and organized approaches to problem-solving.
    • Strong grasp of the physical principles underlying mechanical and electromechanical systems.

    Job Description

     

    We are looking for a proven track record in Supplier Quality to join our Asia Quality Hub team established by our parent company with below job description:-

     

    Act as central key contact and taking lead for suppliers regarding quality related topics.  Be responsible of supplier quality risk management, supplier evaluation and development.  To lead quality related support to ensure break down of strategy on operational level.  Managing the OEM, ODM suppliers, assembly of completed products as well as sub-assembles process control with main focus on electronics. To ensure achievement of requirements in related to suppliers’ performance, products, processes and sustainability. Products include but not limited to Brush Cutters, Pruning Share, Lawn Mowers, Hedge Trimmer, Sprayers, High Pressure Cleaner, Power Tools, Textiles, Stamping, Plastic Moulding etc.

     

    You will be reporting directly to the Director of Quality Hub of Asia

     

    Main Responsibilities

     

    1. Execution of OEM, ODM and component supplier approval audit, re-qualification audit, manufacturing process audit, specification review, advanced process quality planning (APQP), part approval process (PAP), risk assessment as well as initiation of counter measures.
    2. To support in negotiation and conclusion of quality agreement.
    3. To provide professional advice in classification of suppliers.
    4. Steering of supplier development in quality focus by using escalation scenario. Take care of further development of manufacturing processes, technology and quality system.
    5. To coordinate supplier onboarding and process evaluation.
    6. To support or lead defect management including sustainability to support the local Supplier Quality Assurance.
    7. To assure compliance and conformance of processing parameters to the agreed standards.
    8. Management of shipment approval.
    9. Supplier potential analysis and evaluation of match to projected supplier portfolio from commodity strategy​.
    10. To perform ad hoc job task as and when assigned by the manager.

     

    Requirements

     

    1. Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    2. 8+ years of experience in electrics production manufacturing or OEM/ODM field (contract manufacturing), handling mechanical & electronics components of gasoline engines, PCB assembly, plastic components etc
    3. VDA 6.3 certified auditor qualification is an advantage
    4. Experience in garden product/forestry industry is an added advantage
    5. Strong negotiation and communication as well as analytical skills
    6. Good command on speaking and written English; Chinese with spoken Mandarin is an advantage
    7. With good technical and problem-solving skills
    8. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT, Power BI
    9. Familiar with SAP system is definitely an advantage
    10. Willing / prepared to travel (mainly within ASEAN region and Mainland China)

    Quality Engineer (Project & Supplier)

    Key Role

    Support quality team to improve customer quality investigation efficiency, carry out risk analysis to mitigate failure possibility, participate in quality related projects and meetings by contributing specialists to facilitate quality strategy of commodity as well as provide training, failure reporting and knowledge transfer within the Group.

     

    Main Responsibilities:-

    1. Work with cross-functional teams in managing quality issues.
    2. Collaborate with project teams to review requirements and specifications of existing/new products.
    3. Monitor and evaluate quality assurance metrics by conducting test results and status.
    4. Providing onsite support for the production team as well as to the customer in relation to quality issues whenever it is necessary.
    5. Performing other QA-related tasks; incl. inspection and testing, risk assessment, change control, internal audit process and various reports preparation.
    6. Provide training for internal stakeholders on failure findings for improving overall quality, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
    7. Update and manage iQUAVIS system for quality related details.
    8. Assist in ad hoc/new project as assigned by the manager.

     

    Requirements:-

    1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
    2. 1-2 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or process engineering as well as R&D. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
    3. Understanding of ISO9001, process Turtle Diagram and risk-based thinking is an advantage.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Quality tools (six sigma, KT, Minitab, 8D etc.) is preferred.
    5. Familiar with CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.) is preferred.
    6. Possessed with VDA 6.3 certified auditor qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
    7. Basic understanding of core tools like APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP is a plus.
    8. Excellent communication skills and able to work under pressure.
    9. Good command of both speaking and written English and Chinese.
    10. Willing to travel (mainly inside ASEAN region and to Mainland China).

    • Create and develop electrical connector designs that meet specification requirements.
    • Create and develop detailed wiring harness designs, including schematics and layout diagrams using CAD software (e.g., ZUKEN, Creo).
    • Develop and maintain specifications and design standards for wiring harness design, including materials, connectors, terminals, and protective sleeves.
    • Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations, such as UL, IEC, and RoHS, while maintaining adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
    • Directs suppliers to source appropriate materials and components for wiring assemblies.
    • Leads design reviews and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
    • Analyze test data, identify potential risks and recommend design improvements to the development team.
    • Work closely, remotely or on site via business trips, with an international engineering and manufacturing team to ensure seamless realization of wiring harnesses
    • Participate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO, IPC, etc.

     

    <Qualifications>

    • M.S. in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in designing electrical connectors, wiring harnesses and related components.
    • Proven experience in electrical engineering principles and connector technology.
    • Experience in connector design for signal and power wire-to-wire and wire-to-board applications.
    • Proven successful project completion and product design from concept to production in previous employment.
    • Analytical thinking, trouble shooting and problem-solving methodology
